Te explicamos que tipo de lonas se utilizan para toldos y pérgolas, cuales son sus prestaciones y cuando se recomienda utilizarlas.
Acrylic fabric
We work with Sauleda acrylic fabrics because they select the best dyed acrylic fiber to achieve exceptional color resistance and durability.
How acrylic fabric is made to ensure colour: Through a mass dyeing process, coloured pigments permeate the polymer solution before fibre formation. This provides high wear resistance, excellent colour fastness, optimum strength and exceptional behaviour in the weather and against the action of microorganisms. An exclusive process provides a high level of comfort and protection against UV rays, blocking more than 90% depending on the designs.
Here are some examples of plain and striped acrylic canvas fabrics:

Solrain (waterproof acrylics)
SOLRAIN fabric is a new generation fabric, capable of protecting from both sun and rain. It can repel water up to 1000mm (normal acrylic can withstand up to 360mm).
Some examples of SOLRAIN yew are as follows:

Green fabric
GREEN fabric is the first to clean and purify the air using photocatalysis. Fabrics treated with this finish, designed by Sauleda and Pureti, eliminate pollutants such as NOx, SOx and VOCs by up to 55% according to laboratory tests. GREEN fabrics have a self-cleaning and mould-reducing effect. This is Sauleda's commitment to respecting the environment and caring for people.
Some examples of colors are as follows:
Technical fabric
Soltis 92
SOLTIS 92 fabric is micro-perforated and allows air to circulate, thus avoiding the greenhouse effect that other fabrics can cause. By installing the fabric outside, up to 97% of the heat can be blocked.
It also allows you to take advantage of all the outside light without glare, while having full visibility of the outside and privacy from the outside (during daylight hours) with the awning open.
On the other hand, the SOLTIS 92 fabric does not repel water, that is, water passes through it in the same way as wind.
PVC fabric
PVC fabric or VIP-FR fabric has a flat finish and is lacquered on both sides, with a wide range of colours. It is used to protect against water.
Although it is a resistant material, we do not recommend it for this type of awning because:
The extendable arm awning is not designed/prepared to withstand storms: if the arms are forced to bear a lot of weight, the same durability will not be obtained. The extendable arm awning is not designed/prepared to withstand storms: if the arms are forced to bear a lot of weight, the same durability will not be obtained.
PVC fabric causes a greenhouse effect, and therefore, the temperature under the awning will increase significantly.
Opak/Cube fabric
Opak and Cube fabrics have been specially designed for pergolas for both gardens or patios as well as for restaurants.
It is made up of three layers to ensure waterproofing and heat reduction. Thanks to this, it is a fireproof fabric , effective in sun protection, reduces ambient temperature by 10%, and is resistant and durable.
It also always looks clean and spotless from underneath, you can't see the dirt on top.
OPAK FABRIC
Some of the colours available with Opak fabric are:
The main disadvantage of this fabric is that both the grey and maroon colours are two-tone, meaning the bottom part is this colour but the top part is cream-coloured.
If instead you are looking for a fabric of the same color for both sides, you can choose any of the following.
CUBE FABRIC
The Cube fabric is very similar to Opak but is characterized by the pattern that can be seen from below, with a glossy finish that provides luminosity.
Trend y Trend Light fabric
The Tend and Trend Light fabrics are lighter than the previous ones, and the braided texture has been designed for new design trends.
It is made up of three layers to ensure waterproofing and heat reduction. Thanks to this, it is a fireproof fabric, effective in sun protection, reduces ambient temperature by 10%, and is resistant and durable.
Visually, both the Trend and the Trend light are the same, and one of the differences is the weight: the first ±730 gr/m2 and the second ±650 gr/m2.
