At Alustetic , we specialize in metalwork projects and aluminum solutions tailored to different sectors. One of our most notable projects was the renovation of the Vilanova i la Geltrú Confraria de Pescadors, optimizing its spaces to offer greater safety and efficiency to workers in the fishing sector.
To protect the upper part of the fish auction room, we installed reinforced windbreak awnings, capable of withstanding strong gusts of wind from the sea. These awnings feature intermediate reinforcements to ensure stability and durability. The fabric selected was Sauled acrylic, chosen for its high weather resistance and excellent corrosion resistance in the marine environment.
Beneath the windbreak awnings, we installed automated high-speed doors, designed to facilitate quick and safe access. These doors are powered by a high-speed motor, allowing for efficient opening and closing, minimizing exposure to the sun and ensuring optimal fish preservation. The structure of these doors is made of high-quality stainless steel, which prevents corrosion, and their pushbuttons are hermetically sealed to protect the electronics from contact with ambient salt water.
To preserve the integrity of the doors and other structural elements, safety guards were installed on both the interior and exterior. These guards, colored yellow for greater visibility, act as impact barriers to prevent damage caused by the use of forklifts and other transport equipment within the facility.
They replaced the old iron enclosures with high-quality stainless steel fixed and sliding enclosures, with laminated safety glass that prevents breakage in the event of an impact. This improvement not only increases the facility's durability but also reduces long-term maintenance costs and improves the aesthetics of the space.
To improve lighting without compromising sun protection, curtains made of Soltis 96 fabric were installed . This material allows natural light to pass through and maintains partial visibility to the outside, while filtering direct sunlight and preventing distracting reflections, creating a more comfortable work environment.
