We work with aluminium, steel and iron doors. They do not all suit the same type of entrance, so before choosing a model we look at how the door will be used, the opening itself, the level of insulation you need and how it should sit within the façade.
Different entrances call for different doors.
In a house, insulation or bringing more daylight into the hallway may be the priority. In an apartment building, the number of people using the door, the entry system and the durability of the hardware matter much more. That is why we work with several different solutions rather than trying to use the same door everywhere.
Five quite different ways to solve an entrance.
This is a quick overview rather than a technical specification. The first thing is to work out which type of door makes sense for the entrance. Once that is clear, we can look at the exact model, finish, glazing and hardware.
K·LINE framed aluminium entrance door
This is K·LINE's framed option. It gives us plenty of freedom when working with the proportions of the entrance, as the door can be combined with panels, glazing and, depending on the project, side or top lights.

K·LINE aluminium single-panel entrance door
The leaf creates a much more continuous surface, so the frame is far less noticeable from the outside. It is worth considering if you want a simple entrance with straight lines and very little visual clutter.

Steel single-panel entrance door
Steel is aimed at people looking for a particularly solid entrance door with good thermal performance and a defined security level, while still keeping the outside appearance clean.

STRUGAL door with a timber-effect finish
A useful option if you like the appearance of timber but would rather use aluminium. Alongside the timber-effect finishes, there are plain, routed, slatted and glazed designs.

- Thermally broken versions for improved insulation.
Iron doors
When the opening, the building or the way the door will be used calls for something very specific, iron gives us much more freedom. We can fabricate the structure from scratch and adapt the dimensions, glazing, bars, shutters and hardware.

- Made to fit both the opening and the existing façade.
There are four things worth getting clear first.
The finish can come later. First we need to know where the door is going, how often it will be used and what you need from it in terms of insulation, security and appearance.
Is it for a house or an apartment building?
A front door opened a handful of times a day does not have the same job as a communal entrance. Usage, the entry system, the door closer and the lock all affect how we specify it.
Does the door open directly onto the street?
If it is exposed to rain, wind and temperature changes, insulation and weather sealing become much more important than they are for a door protected inside a communal hallway.
Do you want daylight through the door?
We can use solid, glazed or combined designs. It is worth considering daylight, privacy and the outside appearance at the same time.
Does the existing façade need to be respected?
With renovations and communal entrances, we often cannot start with a blank sheet. Existing proportions, colours, glazing, bars or the position of certain elements may need to be retained.

What matters becomes obvious once you start using the door.
A door that closes properly, does not rub and has hardware suited to the way it will actually be used is worth far more than choosing a model simply because it looks good in a photograph.
Security suited to the entrance
Locks, locking points, glazing and hardware should be chosen according to whether the door is for a home, a communal entrance or somewhere with heavy daily use.
Insulation depends on the whole door
It is not just about the leaf. The frame, glazing, seals, threshold, weather sealing and installation all have to work together.
A door that belongs with the façade
We look at colours, proportions, glazing and handles so the new door does not feel as though it has simply been added afterwards.
Installation done properly
Even a good door can cause problems if it is badly installed. Levelling, fixing, adjustment and sealing are all part of the job.
When a standard door simply does not solve the entrance.
Iron gives us the freedom to work around unusual openings, shapes and very specific requirements. We often use it for communal entrances and renovation work where the existing façade needs to be respected or where the door has to incorporate elements that do not fit neatly into a standard system.
Before anything is fabricated, we look at the opening and how the door will actually be used. From there we can work out the glazing, bars, internal shutters, fixed panels, locks, door closers and other hardware the entrance needs.

A few questions that usually come up before choosing a door.
Some decisions depend entirely on the entrance, but these are questions we hear regularly when we first start looking at a project.
The first difference is the material used for the door leaf. K·LINE and STRUGAL single-panel doors are aluminium, whereas the Steel range uses steel. That affects performance, security, available finishes and the options within each range.
In many cases, yes. We do need to check the colours offered by each range. Even with the same RAL reference, differences in texture or sheen can make two finishes look slightly different.
Often, yes, particularly on communal entrances. It needs to be planned before fabrication so the lock, wiring and other hardware can be specified correctly.
Mainly when the entrance needs something very specific: an unusual opening, large areas of glazing, bars, internal shutters or a design that has to fit closely with an existing façade.
For an initial proposal, photographs and rough dimensions are normally enough. Before fabrication, we check the final measurements and condition of the opening carefully.
